마7:13-14 “멸시받는 좁은 문” 2021년 7월 25일

인간은 선악과를 먹은 다음 에덴동산에서 버림받고 생명나무의 길은 완전 차단되고 말았습니다. 그리고 두루 도는 불 칼을 가진 천사에 의해 생명으로의 진입을 할 수 없게 되었습니다.

창3:24> “이 같이 하나님이 그 사람을 쫒아내시고 에덴동산 동쪽에 그룹들과 두루 도는 불 칼을 두어 생명나무의 길을 지키게 하시니라“

인간이 스스로 생명나무로 나아가 영생할 수 있는 길은 완전히 막혀 버렸습니다. 이제는 더 이상 인간이 어떤 수단이나 방법을 동원해서 구원에 이를 수 없게 되었습니다. 인간으로서는 살 길이 없는 셈이죠.

그런데 인간은 가만히 있지 않죠. 자기들 힘으로 구원에 이르는 길을 만들어 내었습니다. 대단하죠?

● 이렇게 인간이 만들어 낸 구원의 길이 과연 효과가 있을까요?

각종 아이디어와 생각으로 고안한 법칙을 만들고 교리를 만들어서 그것을 지키면 구원이 보장된다는 말을 합니다. 이렇게 해서 만들어진 구원의 길을 제시하는 것을 종교라고 합니다. 오늘날 얼마나 많은 종교가 생겨났습니까?

두려움에 쌓인 인간들은 팔랑-귀를 가졌는지?? 하나님의 말씀보다는 인간의 달콤한 말을 좋아합니다.

각종 종교에서는 자신들이 세운 법칙대로하면 구원을 확보할 수 있다고 포교를 합니다, 그래서 구원도 “인간 하기 나름”이라는 말에 기대를 겁니다.

그래서 어느 종족, 어느 가정이든 나름대로 복과 저주를 받는 비법들은 다 가지고 살아갑니다. 생명의 길도 아니면서 서로 속고 사는 것입니다.

맘만 먹으면 언제든지 그리고 얼마든지 구원과 복을 얻을 수 있다고 합니다.

더구나 인간이 착한 일을 많이 하면 구원과 천국을 들어가는 데 수월하다고도 합니다. 종교생활에 게을러서 천국에 못 들어가는 것이지 더 부지런하고 더욱 힘을 내면 누구나 얻을 수 있는 것이 구원이라고 합니다.

여러분은 이러한 수많은 구원의 길에 대하여 어떻게 생각하십니까?

이와 같이 아무거나 하나씩 골라잡아 구원을 얻고자 수많은 종교들이 생긴 것입니다. 얼마나 넓은 길이 되었습니까? 얼마나 넓은 구원의 문들입니까?

수많은 사람들이 그길로 가고 그 문으로 들락거립니다. 넓고 큼직한 길이 좋아서 다니는데 누가 말리겠습니까?

그런데 불행하게도 그들의 끝은 멸망이라는 것입니다.

♣13절> “멸망으로 인도하는 문은 크고 그 길이 넓어 그리로 들어가는 자가 많고“

문이 크고 넓으면 누구나 쉽게 갈 수 있는 것입니다. 편리한 길이며 문입니다. 문제는 멸망이라는 구렁텅이에 빠지는 결과를 가져온다는 데 있습니다.

●“좁은 문”은 무엇일까요?

♣14절> 좁은 문을 “생명으로 인도하는 문”이라고 합니다.

말 그대로 그 “문은 좁고 길이 협착하다”고 합니다.

그래서 “찾는 자가 적다”고 합니다.

 왜 이러한 좁은 문 좁은 길을 찾는 사람이 적을까요?

넓은 길을 버리지 않아서 그러합니다.“엉터리 생명길”이 사람들의 눈에 좋아 보입니다. 인간의 가능성과 희망이 구원욕망을 채워줄 것 같아 보입니다.

그런데 좁은 길은 세상 사람들이 보기에 미련하게 보입니다. 가치가 없어 보입니다. 왜냐하면 아무리 둘러보아도 탈출구가 보이지 않습니다. 가장 절망스러운 것은 그 길과 문은 들어가는 것이 인간으로서는 불가능합니다.

마치 에덴에서 추방된 아담이 다시 스스로 찾아 들어가는 것이 불가능합니다. 철저하게 차단되어있습니다.

낙타가 바늘귀에 들어가는 것이 부자가 들어가는 것보다 쉽다는 비유를 통해서도 일 수 있듯이 인간은 별의별 수작을 다 써도 안 되는 것입니다.

그러니 인간이 손을 놓을 수밖에 없습니다. 그래서 포기합니다. 결국 생명의 길을 찾는 자가 적은 것은 자신이 포기되어야 하는 길이기 때문입니다.

그 자리는 자신의 가능성과 자기의가 없음을 고백하며 찔림을 받고 상한 심령으로 나오는 자리입니다.

시51:17>“하나님이 구하시는 제사는 상한 심령이라 하나님이여 상하고 통회하는 마음을 주께서 멸시치 아니하시리이다”

그런데 그 절망적인 자리에서 없던 길을 새로 길을 만들어 내시는 분이 계십니다.

● 그 좁은 길, 좁은 문을 누가 만들어 내실까요?

구약으로 가볼까요?

구원이란 “우리하기 나름”이 아니라 하나님께서 자기 “언약을 이루신 결과”로 주어집니다. 출발점이 하나님이십니다. 여기에 약속이 등장합니다.

창28:12-15> 야곱의 꿈으로 계시, 사닥다리가 땅 위에 서있는데 그 꼭대기가 하늘에 닿았고 하나님의 사자들이 그 위에서 오르락내리락 하고

여호와께서 약속을 하십니다.

① 땅 주겠다! 네가 누워있는 땅을 너와 네 자손에게 주리라 땅의 모든 족속이 너와 네 자손으로 말미암아 복을 받으리라

② 이 땅으로 돌아오게 하겠다! 내가 너와 함께 있어 너를 지키며 이 땅으로 돌아오게 하리라

③ 약속을 이루도록 하겠다! 네게 허락한 약속이 다 이루기까지 동행 하겠다

창28:17> 두렵도다 이곳이여 이것은 다름 아닌 “하나님의 집이요 하늘의 문이로다“

야곱의 자손들인 이스라엘 백성이 출애굽하여 홍해 앞에 왔습니다. 길이 없습니다. 다 죽게 되었습니다. 사람들이 아우성입니다. 뒤에는 애굽 군대들이 쫒아옵니다. 앞에는 홍해바다입니다. 많은 사람들이 우리가 완전히 죽게 되었다고 모세를 원망하고 죽이려고 합니다. 왜 좁은 길 죽음의 길로 왔느냐는 것입니다. 이때 모세는 이스라엘 백성들에게 “가만히 있어 하나님의 구원을 보라“고 합니다. 모세가 하나님의 지시를 받아, 들고 있던 지팡이를 바다로 펼치니 바다에 길이 생겼습니다. 길이 없는 곳에 길이 생긴 것입니다. 그리고 홍해를 건넌 이들이 길이 없는 광야와 사막을 따라 40년을 갑니다.

그리고 요단강에 이르렀습니다. 요단강에는 길이 없습니다. 강물이 범람해서 언덕을 덮치고 있는 상황입니다. 제사장들은 여호와 하나님께서 지시하신대로 요단강 속으로 언약궤를 메고 들어갔습니다, 그랬더니 요단강에 물이 멈추었습니다. 길이 생기고 이스라엘 백성들은 요단강을 건너 약속의 땅으로 들어갑니다. 하나님의 약속 언약에 이끌리어 가게 되는 길입니다. 사람들이 육신의 눈으로는 보이지 않는 길입니다. 언약궤만 따라 가는 길입니다.

● 언약에 이끌리어 약속의 땅에 들어온 이스라엘 백성들은 어떻게 되었습니까?

사사시대-왕정시대-멸망-성전재건-다시 파괴-헤롯성전을 거쳐서, 예수님께서 “이 성전을 헐라 내가 삼일 만에 다시 일으키리라”고 하셨습니다.

예수님의 제자들도 처음에는 예수님이 가신 길을 희망을 안고 따라나섰습니다. 목숨 걸고 예수님을 따르겠다던 제자들도 점점 좁은 길로 접어들자 예수님을 “다 부인하고 줄행랑을 쳐 버린 것”입니다.

그 길이 얼마나 좁은 길이기에 그 길을 피하여 도망을 가 버리는 것입니까?

그런데 예수님만이 좁은 길인 “십자가로 가는 길”을 가셨습니다.

그리고 예수님은 아무도 가지 않는 “좁은 문 좁은 길”이 되셨습니다.

● 그리고 죽음의 세상인 이 세상에 “새로운 탈출구”가 생겼습니다.

예수님께서 십자가에서 돌아가실 때 성소의 휘장 한가운데가 찢어진 것입니다. 예수님의 육체가 찢겨진 것입니다. 어린 양 예수님이 죽임을 당하여 거룩하신 피를 흘리신 것입니다. 예수님의 육체가 찢어짐으로 하늘이 열린 것입니다. 죽은 우리를 살려내는 유일한 새롭고 산길이 생기게 되었습니다.

히10:20> “그 길은 우리를 위하여 휘장 가운데로 열어 놓으신 새롭고 산길이요 휘장은 곧 저의 육체니라“

그 좁은 길은 그 좁은 문은 오직 예수님의 자기 피로서만 만들어 놓으신 “새롭고 산길”입니다.

어두움으로 갇힌 세상에서 유일한 탈출구는 예수 그리스도의 십자가였던 것입니다. 십자가를 통해서만 영원한 생명의 길이 열린 것입니다.

요14:6> “예수께서 이르시되 내가 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라“

육신의 눈으로 보면 저주받은 자리인 십자가에 예수님 자신을 내어주셨습니다. 율법의 저주에서 자기백성을 속량한 자리입니다.

십자가라고 하는 좁은 문입니다. 아무도 가지 않는 주님만의 길이었습니다.

성령에 의하여 이러한 “십자가가 덮쳐온 자들은” 세상 사람들이 볼 때는 죽은 자처럼 미련하게 보이지만 영원히 산자들입니다.

그러므로 십자가가 미련하게 보이고 십자가만을 따르는 자들을 어리석은 좁은 길로 보이지만 이들이 생명으로 인도함을 받은 자들입니다.

십자가의 길은 “자기의 의”가 부정당하는 길입니다. 육체의 길인 “율법주의 길”이 부정되어야 합니다. 율법외의 한 의가 나타난 의의 길입니다.

이와 같이 예수님께서는 탐심으로 살아가려는 우리 존재 자체를 쪼개시고 무너뜨려서 절망적인 상황 가운데로 몰아넣으십니다. 이럴 때, 우리는 상한 심령으로 변하게 됩니다. 예수님은 이러한 한 가운데 나타나셔서 그분 자체가 “영생의 길”임을 알게 하십니다.

생명의 길은 성령의 인도로 십자가로 통하는 길입니다. 그 문만이 하늘로 통하는 문입니다. 이 길만이 유일(The way)한 생명의 길이요 구원의 문입니다.

계3:7-8>“~거룩하고 진실하사 다윗의 열쇠를 가지신 이 곧 열면 닫을 사람이 없고 닫으면 열 사람이 없는 그가 이르시되 / 볼지어다 내가 네 앞에 열린 문을 두었으되 능히 닫을 사람이 없으리라~”

Humans were abandoned in the Garden of Eden after eating the fruits of good and evil, and the path of the tree of life was completely blocked. And by an angel with a sword of fire, he was unable to enter life.
"Like this, The Lord will drive him out of the garden of Eden and place a sword of fire that runs around the east side of the Garden of Eden to protect the path of the tree of life."
The path for human beings to move to the tree of life and to eternal life has been completely blocked. Now humans can no longer reach salvation by any means or means. As a human being, there's no way to live.

But humans don't stay still. They have created their own path to salvation. Isn't it amazing?

● Does this human-made path of salvation work?

They say that salvation is guaranteed if you make laws and doctrines devised with various ideas and ideas and follow them. It is called religion to present the path of salvation created in this way. How many religions have emerged today?

Do fear-stricken humans have palpable ears? I prefer the sweet words of man to the words of God.

Many religions preach that salvation can be secured if they follow the laws they set up, so they expect salvation to be "depending on being human."
So any kind of family, any family, has their own secrets of blessing and curse. It's not even the way of life, but we're fooled by each other.
They say that you can get salvation and luck whenever you want.
Moreover, it is said that if humans do many good things, it will be easy to enter salvation and heaven. It is said that salvation is something that one cannot enter heaven because one is lazy in religious life, but one that one can gain if one is more diligent and empowered.
What do you think of these many ways of salvation?

Like this, many religions were created to pick anything and get salvation. How wide is the road? How wide are the doors to salvation?
Countless people take the road and walk in and out of the door. I like the wide and big road, who would stop me?
Unfortunately, however, their end is destruction.
♣Matthew 7:13> "The gates leading to destruction are large and the roads are wide, so there are many who enter."
Anyone can go easily if the door is big and wide. It's a convenient way and a door. The problem is that it results in falling into the pit of destruction.

● What is "narrow door"?
♣Matthew 7:13> A narrow door is called a "door to lead to life."
Literally, the "door is narrow and the road is steeper".
That's why there are fewer people looking.

Why are there so few people looking for a narrow path to this narrow door?
It's because I didn't abandon the wide road. The "wrong path of life" looks good to people's eyes. It seems that human possibilities and hope will satisfy the desire for salvation.
But the narrow road looks foolish to the world. It doesn't seem worth it. Because no matter how hard I look around, I can't see a way out. The most frustrating thing is that it is impossible for humans to enter the path and the door.
It's as if Adam, who was deported from Eden, is unable to find his way back in. It's completely blocked.
Just as camels can be easier to get into the eye of a needle than rich people, humans shouldn't use all sorts of tricks.
So humans have no choice but to let go. So I give up. In the end, fewer people find the way to life because it is the way they should be given up.

It is a place where you confess that you have no possibility and confidence, and you are stabbed and come out with a broken spirit.
"The sacrifice LORD seeks is an broken spirit, and the LORD will not despise the hurt and wailing heart of God."
But there's someone who creates a new path that wasn't there in that desperate place.

● Who's gonna make that narrow road, that narrow door?

Shall we go to the Old Testament?
Salvation is not given to us, but to God as a result of his covenant. The LORD is the starting point. Here comes the appointment.
Genesis 28:12-15> In the dream of Jacob, the ladder stood on the earth, and the top of it touched the sky, and the Angels of God went up and down from it.
Jehovah makes a promise.
①I'll give you the land! I will give you and your descendants the land where you lie, and all the peoples of the earth will be blessed with you and your descendants.
②I will bring you back to earth! I will be with you to protect you and bring you back to earth.
③I'll make your promise come true! I'll accompany you until the promises I've given you are fulfilled.
Genesis 28:17 Fear, here it is none other than "House of God, Door of Heaven."

The Israelites, the descendants of Jacob, fled and came before the Red Sea. There's no way. They're all dead. People are shouting. Behind us comes the Aegub armies. In front of us is the Red Sea. Many people resent Moses and try to kill him because we're dead. Why did you come to the narrow path of death? Moses tells the people of Israel, "Stay still and look at God's salvation."

When Moses opened his wand to the sea under God's direction, there was a path in the sea. There is a road where there is no road. And those who cross the Red Sea go 40 years along the desert and the desert, where there is no way.
And we reached the Jordan River. There is no road in the Jordan. The river is flooding and hitting the hill. The priests carried the ark of the covenant into the Jordan, as The Lord had commanded, and the water stopped in the Jordan. A road is built and the people of Israel cross the Jordan and enter the Promised Land. It is the way to be led by God's promise covenant. It's a path that people can't see with the eyes of the body. I'm on my way to the ark of the covenant.

● What happened to the Israelites who entered the Promised Land under the covenant?
Through the Judges-Royal-Destruction-Reconstruction-Reconstruction-

Jesus said, "I will tear down this temple and bring it back to life in three days."

At first, Jesus' disciples followed Jesus' path with hope. His disciples, who said they would risk their lives to follow Jesus, also entered a narrow path and "denied all of them and ran away."
How narrow is the road that you run away from?
But only Jesus went on the narrow road, "The Road to the Cross."
And Jesus became a "narrow door narrow road" where no one went.

● And in this world of death, there's a "new way out".

When Jesus died on the cross, the center of the sanctuary's insignia was torn. Jesus' body was torn apart. Jesus the Lamb was killed and shed holy blood. The sky was opened by the tearing of Jesus' body. The only new life path that saved us from death has been created.
Hebrew10:20 "The road is a new life path that you have opened for us in the middle of the insignia for us. The insignia is my body."
The narrow path is a "new and life path" made only by Jesus' own blood.
The only way out of the world trapped in darkness was the cross of Jesus Christ. The path of eternal life has been opened only through the cross.

"Jesus says, I am the way. Truth, life, no one can come to my father without me."
Jesus gave himself to the cross, which is a cursed seat in the eyes of the body. This is the place where the curse of the law has deceived its people.
It's a narrow door called the cross. It was the way of the LORD that no one was going. By the Holy Spirit, these "crossed men" look foolish in the eyes of the world, but they are eternal living.
Therefore, the cross looks foolish and those who follow the cross appear foolishly narrow, but they have been led to life.

The path of the cross is the path where "self-righteousness" is denied. The path of the body, the path of the law, should be denied. It is a path of righteousness in which a righteousness other than the law appears.

As such, Jesus breaks down and breaks down our existence to live by greed and puts us in a desperate situation. At times like this, we turn into spoiled spirits. Jesus appears in the midst of this and makes him know that he is "the way of eternal life."
The path of life is the path leading to the cross through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. That's the only door that leads to the sky. This is the only way of life and the door to salvation.
"As the Holy and Truthful Sergeant David said, 'If you open it, there will be no one to close it, and if you close it, there will be no one to open it.' I put an open door in front of you, but no one can close it."
